Many of us believe that we cannot understand the Bible without a bible degree or deep bible background. Because of this, there were minimal transformation and empowerment seen in our lives that enables us to grow and influence others.
The truth of the matter is, we can understand the Bible, through the power of the Holy Spirit working in our lives. The Bible was written for all of us no matter what background or status we may have.
This “SOAP” is developed to guide and inspire us to understand the Bible as word of God and apply it in our lives. SOAP is an organised, but flexible way of reading God’s Word. It encourages us to think about and explore God’s Word. It is also a simple tool for developing a devotional habit of reading the words of God and consistent prayerful life. SOAP is an acronym that stands for S for Scripture, O for Observation, A for Application and P for Prayer.
